Florida Infectious Disease Care

What We Offers

When to see a Infectious Disease Specialist

While your family doctor can handle most common infections, there are times when things get more complicated. If an infection doesn’t respond to treatment, if you have an allergic reaction to antibiotics, or if you’re dealing with unexplained or prolonged fever, it may be time to consult an infectious disease specialist. These experts can provide advanced insights and personalized care to get to the root of your condition and offer the best treatment options.

PrEP/PEP Program

A preventive treatment for individuals at high risk of HIV infection. PrEP helps prevent HIV transmission before exposure, while PEP is an emergency treatment taken after possible HIV exposure to reduce the risk of infection.

General Infectious Disease

General infectious diseases are illnesses caused by microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, or parasites that can spread from one person to another. These diseases can be transmitted through various routes, including direct contact, respiratory droplets, contaminated food or water, insect bites, or sexual contact

Infusion Services

Antibiotics infusion services typically refer to the administration of antibiotics through an intravenous (IV) infusion. Antibiotics administered through IV infusion can deliver a higher concentration of the medication directly into the bloodstream, allowing for more effective treatment.

Infections spread through sexual contact, including chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis.

Fungal Infections

Infections caused by fungi, such as athlete’s foot, ringworm, or more serious systemic infections like histoplasmosis.
